Donald Trump Will find a way to kill terror suspects' families and torture
One of Donald Trump's advisors refused to disavow the ideas of targeted killings of terrorists' families, torture and banning Muslims from entering the United States during an interview with Al Jazeera. Former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency and Retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn essentially said all options would be on the table in the War on Terror. He also poured water on the idea the president's orders would not be followed by soldiers, even if they were recognized as illegal.
His statements were very clear in keeping the door to these illegal actions open. When asked about targeted killing of a suspected terrorist's family, he replied:
I would have to see the circumstances of that situation..
These are very difficult political decisions.
Translation, we just might do it when someone feels the need to go after and kill the families of terrorists.
When questioned about bringing back the enhanced torture tactic of waterboarding and other methods of torture Donald Trump favors and has been described in the torture report the CIA just magically lost, Flynn stated:
I am a believer in leaving as many options on the table right up until the last possible minute.
Bringing back the methods ISIS has mocked the United States with before it has brutally killed hostages? Seriously? We haven't learned that lesson yet?
When questioned about the Trump's plan to ban Muslims from the United States, Michael Flynn replied:
We have to be cautious about where these people are coming from.
