Sara R and winglion (Sara and Ann Reed) have done so much for so many of our fellow members here (or their friends and family) with their beautiful and lovingly created Community Caring Quilts. The donations of community members for the costs to create these wonderful quilts have helped sustain these two ladies for the past few years. For which they are grateful.
But this primary season has sucked up all of the oxygen here at Daily Kos, and requests for Community Caring Quilts has been very low the past few months.
Now, they need just a little help from all of you to get through May, because I’ve been helping them get ready to launch a Kickstarter which will happen a little later this month, and hopefully put them on the road to self-reliance moving forward!
In addition, Sara R will be going in for surgery again on this Friday. Peace of mind for her and winglion from looming bills, before she goes under the knife this Friday, would certainly aid in her recovery from this surgery!
As many of you know, the Community Quilt Project was launched here at Daily Kos a number of years back during the time when we all learned that exmearden (Kris Froland) had a terminal illness.
Sara R and winglion have to date produced and sent out 135 Community Caring Quilts. You can see the details about them in this story published by Sara R on January 4, 2016:
Community Quilt Project: Body of Work

I know that there have been a LOT of requests for help for political candidates (including myself) here at Daily Kos over the past year. But these two ladies have invested so much heart and care into this Community Quilt Project, and have done so much for so many who were in need, that I hope you can find it in your hearts to help them with just a little bit now, in return.
Amount needed according to Sara R: $1,200
[This amount includes past due bills like phone service from March/April]
Every bit helps. Please use this Paypal link to Hairbraider33 at Yahoo dot com, which looks like an order form, because it’s the link for their Paypal from the PootiePads.com store.
Also, please REC and Share this story with your Daily Kos groups AND social media!
In all of my years here at Daily Kos, I’ve never made a plea for donations to someone just because they need financial help. I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t think it was a cause worthy of your hard earned dollars. Please consider a donation of any size.
Thank you,
Angela Marx
UPDATE: from the comments, because of course, purchasing a Pootie Pad (www.PootiePads.com) or any of their products at the Community Quilt Project is a great way to help them out instead of just donating!:

I just bought a Pootie Pad. I had it in the Paypal, and not only do I get to donate to people who are wonderful, but I get a thing that may make the exclusion of the cats from the bedrooms in the months to come (happens when the air conditioners go in) a little easier for them to take.
