Earlier today over 20 Schools in England were evacuated under similar circumstances.
Volume Of Threats Are Unusual
It’s the end of the school year, and not at all unusual for there to be a rash of bomb threats. Threats are usually by students to get out of testing or even as prank, however this is unique in that it’s affected such a high number of states. It’s also affected multiple schools in those states, utilized law enforcement resources, interrupted busy end of year testing schedules and even traumatized students and caused parents to have to leave work to pick up their children. Purpose Behind Calls Unclear
So far no one is speculating what the purpose of these robocalls were, other than the obvious effect, however it’s hard not to notice the scale and wonder if there might be a larger threat to come, or if it’s the work of sadistic morons who enjoy mentally terrorizing people who are already hypersensitive to the very remote possibility of terror attack by radical Islamists. Let’s hope they catch the person/s responsible very soon.
