Apparently, some of us want to assign intent to this diary not intended. Before we get to the fun diary, let me be clear here: This diary is a positive advocacy diary for Sanders. Was having a little fun this morning, nothing more.
"All the Way!" might be just the Primary. It might be more should he win too. While it remains possible for Sanders to win, it remains equally possible to make positive statements to that effect. Chill guys. We have an awesome election season this year. Don't break it. :D
And now back to your regularly scheduled diary...
As you all know, the Oregon election is going on right now. We vote by mail, and ballots are in voters hands, ready to go! Remember, that other candidate ALREADY WON. Because Math. Also!
So your vote for Bernie is a FREEBIE! Everyone already said so. Right? Right. :) wink, wink, nod, nod, OK?
Do it! You won’t regret it. That other candidate doesn’t need delegates at all. We’ve been well informed for what? Weeks now? And you know you want to do it too. Set that inner, tree hugging, fun loving, old school cool liberal in you free and vote for Bernie! Your vote marks the start of a revolution that will transform America! You don’t want to miss out on that!
I hear the buzz can last for days people. DAYS! In fact, that buzz is so great, I’m holding my ballot one more day just to savor the anticipation! So delicious. Nothing like it. Trust me. :P
Shout out for all of you in the great State of Indiana today! Today is your day too! Today, you can get that buzz that lasts for days all for yourself! Vote Bernie today, and know your friends in Oregon are right there with you. Solidarity, in feeling fucking great! Know it. Love it. Believe! I do.
Since we’ve got a couple naysayers putting diaries up, it makes perfect sense to share some great info about Oregon elections. Alright then! Here we go!
The picture on this diary is from the Oregon Voters Guide. This is an awesome thing the State mails out prior to an election. Everything you need to vote is in the guide. All the ballot measures for your county, and the candidates are well and succinctly presented along with pro and con type arguments and a brief explanation where needed. Your average Oregon voter is likely to be reasonably informed if all they ever do is open the guide, consider it, and cast their vote!
How cool is that? Download it, and bask in the awesomeness that is an Oregon election!
Another thing Oregon does is DMV Auto Registration. As people age into the process and get their ID and or Drivers License, they are registered to vote. Oregon is now an opt-out system. Your default registration is unaffiliated. Any voter can modify their party registration anytime, up to 14 days prior to an election.
You can return your ballot by mail, or any State Elections Office, one of the official ballot drop boxes, or have someone take it for you. Cast your vote today!
Me? Remember that buzz that can last for days. Yeah. I’m ready. Definitely feeling the Bern.
We are not asking. We are paying our own way. We are here to stay!
This isn’t just about Bernie for President. It’s about a movement by the people, for the people to get real change done. More to come. This is just the start. Check out: Brand New Congress
