Kendal Unruh, an RNC delegate from Colorado, is leading the charge to have the RNC Rules Committee invoke a “Conscience Clause” to allow delegates to vote their conscience (and not be “bound”) on the Convention Floor. Perhaps you saw her appearance on The Rachel Maddow Show or Anderson Cooper 360?
Anywho, the founder of this effort has taken to social media by creating a Facebook Page named “Free The Delegates 2016.” And a Twitter Feed.
Ms. Unruh was kind enough to respond via Facebook Messaging something that’s been on my mind. Namely, how can a delegate in good conscience vote for a candidate that refuses to release their tax returns for public scrutiny?

Why not vote in the Rules Committee that candidates' tax returns must be submitted for review? It could serve as a "test vote" in advance of the conscience rule vote. Vote on the conscience rule after the tax returns have been submitted and reviewed. Perhaps the candidate would rather withdraw than be subjected to scrutiny.

This has been offered up but may not be something to pass. There is already a bill that asks for three years of tax returns for a candidate 15 days before nomination. It has not passed.

Seems like folks that voted for the tax return bill would be supportive of your efforts. Is there a list? How can anybody vote "in good conscience" when a candidate refuses to release their tax returns? Can it be brought up again?
