For several months, I have been looking for a reason to vote for Hillary Clinton in November. I am voting for Bernie Sanders on Tuesday—this much I know for sure. However, voting for Hillary Clinton leaves a distaste in my mouth. Her statements about Nancy Reagan (for which she apologized) and her statements about DOMA/DADT (for which she has not) have really rankled. I have been mostly quiet on the DailyKos because of this. I know who I am going to support for the primary, and that’s that.
However, I have also been looking at the DailyKos for a reason to vote for Hillary Clinton in November. Any reason.
And I have to say, you guys are terrible. And I mean this of both camps—the Sanders people and the Clinton people are horrible at convincing even people who largely agree with them that their own preferred candidate is preferable to the other. For example, there was a fight on the DailyKos months ago about how Clinton claimed she had ideal grandchildren. Really? Come on. I just had to roll my eyes at people I largely agree with. (Hint: Every grandparent has ideal grandchildren. Duh.)
Instead, you fight with each other over whether Sanders is “destroying democracy” or whether Clinton is “beholden to Wall Street”. The Sanders people are actually chasing me away from supporting him as much as the Clinton people are chasing me away from supporting her.
I am sick of this. This is not a “Good Bye, Cruel World” diary, in case there is someone who makes that mistake. This is a “Come On, Guys. Behave better!” diary.
