Those of us who suffer being misrepresented in the House of Representatives by a GOP/Tea Partier cretin should always be on the lookout for new ways to annoy him or her. I am disserved by Tom Graves in the 14th District of Georgia, and I enjoy reminding him that he is economically and historically illiterate and that the Congress of which he is part is a disgrace to the country.
My latest effort is a letter I sent him after the Benghazi Committee finally wrapped up its campaign against Hillary Clinton. Naturally I do not expect him to accept my proposal, and I doubt I’ll even get an answer, but it should cause him or his staff some irritation. Here it is, feel free to use it as a template for a letter to your own pitiful excuse for a representative.
I am disgusted with the US House of Representatives for spending $7 million and taking two years to “investigate” the Benghazi tragedy. Now that the Republicans on that committee have finally finished their vendetta against the President and the former Secretary of State by issuing a report that says nothing that was not already well known two years ago, it is time for the tax payers to be reimbursed.
I propose that the Republicans in the House of Representative pass a bill providing for a special 100% withholding of their congressional salaries for as long as it takes to make up that $7 million they wasted. A second provision of the bill should allow for that debt to be forgiven any Republican congressman who resigns, effective immediately, and agrees to never run for office again.
Understand that I am making this proposal in the same non-partisan, non-political spirit with which the Republicans undertook the Benghazi investigation.
