The more and more I think about this, the angrier I get. Tonight will still be Clinton’s night, she will get to break that last glass ceiling here the US. She will be the Democratic Nominee. This Sanders’ supporter sees it. And, this women’s college graduate is pleased as punch, sure, I am a Smithie and Clinton went to Wellesley, but I can put this small rivarly aside to acknowledge how HUGE this is.
But, seriously AP? You were so anxious to be the first to declare Clinton the nominee you kind of stole her thunder. You were so hell bent on breaking a story, you called it one day early and put everyone on their heels.
It may seem petty on my part, and it doesn’t make it any less historic, but at the same time, the rush to be the first to call the race meant breaking that glass before Clinton herself could smash it.
Our media is so hell bent on being first that they forget that they aren’t supposed to be the story. The AP was so hellbent on getting it first, they became the story, they could have affected the outcome and it bothers the hell out of me.
Right?
Tonight is our night to celebrate a huge win for so many and most important for Hillary Clinton. I will support her and fight for her. But seriously AP, you should apologize.
