Generalissimo Francisco Franco Still Dead
Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead, after more than 30 years. Few people are surprised that there has been no resurrection of this evil, ruthless bastard, except for a Spanish Monk named Fiero, who has long since been considered completely insane.
Francisco Franco led a successful military rebellion to overthrow the Spanish democratic republic in the Spanish Civil War (1936—1939), subsequently establishing his lasting dictatorship.
A lifelong military figure in Spain, Francisco Franco rose through the ranks until the early 1930s, when he found himself, a right-wing monarchist, in the midst of a left-wing republic. He was essentially demoted, but by 1935 he had been named chief of staff of the Spanish Army, a position he used to purge the army hierarchy of left-wing figures and strengthen military institutions. When the social and economic structure of Spain, in the governing hands of the left, began to crumble, Franco joined the growing rebel movement. He soon led an uprising against the Republican government and took control of Spain after the Spanish Civil War. From then until his 1975 death, he presided over a military dictatorship. Almost nobody liked him.
He killed many people, and once met Hitler. Even Hitler wasn’t all that fond of him, but that may have simply been because he was taller.
