“At least 84 people have been killed after a truck slammed into a crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day in the southern French city of Nice.”
I grieve for humanity, when I read about the above incident. If we continue on the path we are. We will never solve the issue of violent acts, we commit upon one another.
If you do not deal with the The (“REAL” problem) of somehow controlling or influencing the “person doing violent acts”. We will never reduce violent acts, “regardless of type of act”. This Article at the link demonstrates that it is “PEOPLE” that commits the act of violence. “the tool” or “type of act”. It does not matter, what type of “tool you ban” it will NOT solve “violence” EVER. Because the person who is committing the act of violence is free to continue committing acts of violence.
Which of the following we do “depends on” the “INDIVIDUALS” “Not the group”. Despite its “easier” to do groups, over individuals. But it won’t solve the “violence” and will actually make thing worse. (Drone strikes, are a “Group” solution, that actually adds to the list of people, who wish to do violence against the US, as justice or revenge, for example. its creating a much bigger problem than it solves. read up on “drone whistle blowers” )
Following are things that actually work in reducing violence.
1. helping people in need, what ever that might be. (legal aid services) (charity)
2. out reach Before people choose to do violence. (big brother program) (after school activities)
3. therapy (counseling) (group therapy)
4. incarcerate (prison) (boot camps)
5. execute (only of those who can never be redeemed or will never stop killing other people. No point wasting more resources to incarceration: Charleston shooter, Boston bombers, Charles Manson {example of the sheer cost of not executing} are good examples)
=========
Following are things that will NOT stop people or will actually encourage them to committing “violent acts”.
1. “ignoring the person” who is committing the violent acts. (blaming it on everything, but the person, who committed the act of violence. examples: racism, police, guns, terrorism, black, white, gangs, mental illness, etc) doing restrictions regarding this list, but continuing to “ignore the person” Does NOT reduce the person violent acts. (you can stick whatever “tool” in this banning alcohol as example, the person who drinks is still disposed to and is still doing acts of violence) (Banning this or that, is by definition “ignoring person”)
2. “Not doing” things from above list. (to the numbers and the overall diary)
3 releasing repeated “violent” offenders especially those that used tools to commit those violent offenses. (Obama release of violent offenders)
4 Applying blanket rules or punishments by lumping “vague or broad reaching groups together” to punish or restrict their rights. (All Police) (all blacks) (All mentally ill) Is in FACT: escalating in people actions of committing “violent acts” of late in regards to race and “against” mentally ill of late is perfect example. This is causing people to commit more “violence acts”
5.This is the opposite of stopping, but promoting increase of people committing violent acts. Stripping rights or restricting rights of people who have never committed violent acts or was not predisposed to harming innocent people or perceived “other people who were doing wrong”(BLM movement pay attention to the actual words they use and actions of some).. (Dallas shooting, {perceived restriction or stripped of their rights}, “incidents” that lead up to police shooting. People with disabilities. are an estimated 52% of shootings {this is primarily result of stripping or restricting rights of people with disabilities {causing them, to loose it, and thus do “violent acts” to protect themselves. “Resisting being restrained” as example. The problem is “normal people” don’t see people with disabilities “violent act” as them protecting themselves, thus you shoot them. Where your failing to understand and changing your own cruel actions.} The accumulated rights stripped, adds up to NOT being treated like a human being, but as an object or animal who is not complying. (Following is proof of those rights stripped, this is NOT an exhaustive list , After reading this list and applying it to yourself as if you yourself, were one of the people who has disabilities, tell me “you would NOT act out” and “mean it”, I dare you. Only a non reasonable person would ever do this dare.)www.raggededgemagazine.com/... {{ be mindful that restricting and stripping rights regarding constitution or human rights, has a direct effect, on how people respond, thus leading people to commit “violent acts” due to injustice of having their rights stripped or restricted, when they never committed violent acts before. We tend to label them terrorists, crazy people, “mentally ill” and other labels. This is why Dallas shooting is included here }} number 5 has direct impact on the political topic called “gun violence” and how it is getting handled currently as well. I did not mention this right off back, because. I know: You would close your mind and not actually listen to what was being said. (5) is NOT limited too this one, it covers many areas like reproductive rights. gay rights, race, age, disability, opposing views, opposing cultures, opposing economic status, etc etc etc.
Again Above is proof people are the cause of violence. And our actions need to focus on that fact. In how we deal with people, who choose to engage in acts of violence. Without causing other people, to act out in violent acts, who otherwise would not. There is NO simple solution, other than “execution” (complete removal of a person who will not stop committing the worst acts of violence) (I was NOT referring to the moral dilemma of killing another person to stop their reign of violence, when I mentioned execution, I meant it was simple to put an end to the violent acts by eliminating the person, who will not stop doing it.{bomb, to stop Dallas shooter}) (reason I did not mention prison, is that that it is no simple solution and is a total mess. I know you were thinking “prisons” is simpler, than execution. I was thinking the same thing, due to moral dilemma, but that is NOT what I was talking about here. I was talking about stopping “violent acts” by people who will not stop ever or the act was so bad there is no rehabilitation chance. )
“Politics” and or “agendas” is the only reason we even have this fight about “what is the cause of violence” and how to deal with it.
I am trying to remove politics and agendas from this(regardless of source, because this is a human problem). <<<(Politics and agendas is destroying our ability to actually stop violence “violent acts” we cause) So we can actually do something about the real problem. The real problem is “us” and our choices to engage in “violent acts”. No more blaming objects. No more blaming other people, no more blaming vague concepts like terrorism, or making other people suffer the consequences of our actions and choices (like putting all the blame on the theater shooter, when our actions or inaction , influenced his actions prior to his shooting). The problem lies with “us” and how we “treat each other”. That is what we need to change, to reduce violent acts or violence.
Its not easy, because we have to admit we were wrong. And that, we were the ones who did wrong. Its hard, I know, I went through the process, unrelated to violence. It requires you to intellectually change your beliefs. And discard the beliefs, that you now know to be wrong or false or immoral, or irrational. Again this is only possible once you first admit to yourself your wrong.
Note: I wanted to use some kind of image, since it speaks a thousand words or more, but I am too nervous to accidentally use a Copyrighted image. And I don’t want to get banned “for showing the RAW ugly truth, that no one wants to admitted is actually happening”. I had several themes in mind, that would of fit perfectly, Something powerful is needed, to break through your mental blocks and long standing beliefs. Especially when those beliefs are at the institutional level, (shared by the many over long period of time). Say a very uncomfortable, RAW, uncensored image of a person, who has down syndrome or autism, Who believes they are fighting in self defense, with no tools or weapons, against being physically restrained by police. Where if not for stripping of their rights of being a human being, this never would of happened. The image of the person “resisting to protect themselves” from their perceived as being harm done to them. Also shows how it is PEOPLE who is cause of violence, nothing else is the cause and never was.
