A shooting event occurred Friday evening in Munich, Germany.
At least three gunmen opened fire in a busy shopping area in Munich on Friday, causing multiple casualties before fleeing the scene, authorities said. A German broadcaster reported at least six people killed, as police launched a manhunt for the perpetrators and put much of the southern German city on lockdown.

Some recent reports indicate that at least one suspect may have been apprehended. But the search is clearly not over at this time.
A manhunt was launched as helicopters fanned out over the city, and Munich’s transit system was shut down. Residents were asked to stay off the streets. …
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the shootings, but a high-ranking police official told The Post that they appeared likely to be linked to terrorism.

Some reports have come in indicating that the shooters may have shouted anti-immigrant slogans.
Today is the anniversary of the Anders Behring Breivik massacre in which a right-wing fanatic used a combination of a bomb and gunfire to kill 77 people in Norway. Like the location of the shooting, this may be completely coincidental.
