This whole convention has rightfully been a love note to Hillary. It's also exposed the depth of our “bench.” Our prime time speakers have been spectacular but often the afternoon speakers have moved me as much. (Next week front pages should celebrate the organizers.) It has fired up base and independents.
Now Hillary needs to capture enthusiasm by laying out her plans for initial (100 or fill-in-the-blank days). She could pick immigration reform, criminal justice plans, and gun safety. Explain how bills, grants, whatever will help people she has met along campaign trail. Then she must offer things for people to do before and after election, including neighbors joining together to monitor changes. (Of course contact information for how to volunteer must be prominently displayed.)
She can't let people put her into a time capsule of past accomplishments. Showing off her “church lady on steroids” skills will help seal the deal.
