Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid blasted Donald Trump and his xenophobic, fear-mongering, anti-Muslim immigration plan Monday, demanding that Trump "take the one test every immigrant has to pass to become a United States citizen."
He would almost certainly fail, given his general ignorance and weak grasp of basic facts about American history, principles and function of our government. The fact is, Donald Trump is nothing more than a spoiled, unpatriotic drain on society who has earned nothing and helped no one.
Don't hold back, Harry. Tell us how you really feel! He went on to describe how, in his "more than 30 years representing Nevada, I've found no experience more rewarding and inspiring than attending naturalization ceremonies. Dozens of times," he writes, "I have had the privilege of watching new Americans raise their right hands and pledge loyalty to the United States." He concludes: "Immigrants make America great. Trump makes America small, petty, and mean."
Trump shouldn't just have to take the citizenship test, he should also have to take lessons from Harry Reid on what it means to run for and hold a political office.
