It’s Politics 101. During the general election campaign, a presidential candidate should spend his time in the most competitive states, generating excitement and increasing their chances of winning those states. So then why is Donald Trump in deep red Mississippi, with its 6 electoral votes, which hasn’t voted blue in 40 years?
Anti-EU British politician and former Ukip leader Nigel Farage is scheduled to appear with Donald Trump at a rally on Wednesday, a week after the US presidential candidate branded himself “Mr Brexit” and tapped one of the leading American supporters of Brexit to run his campaign.
Farage will appear with Trump at an evening rally in Jackson, Mississippi, to tell US voters “the Brexit story” of how he triumphed over the electoral odds. Farage is not expected to endorse Trump.
Does Trump think that this is the key to voters’ hearts showing up in Mississippi a few weeks before election day with some British guy that most voters have never heard of, talking about something that doesn’t have much to do with their day to day lives? Please proceed, Mr. Trump!
