This is one of those totally avoidable "oops" moments, but one that is just so telling. Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) put up a web ad last week, "Women I Know," in which she touts her record on women's issues and women's health. She even includes a helpful link at the the end of the ad to her "Women's Health" page on her campaign website. There's a little problem, though.
Yep. It goes to Ayotte's "wrong path." Which gives a perfect opportunity to Victoria Bonney, Communications Manager for Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund, who emailed this statement.
"It's telling that Kelly Ayotte's plan for women's health is a dead end. She has gone out of her way to create barrier after barrier for women to access health services—from driving up the cost of birth control, trying to defund Planned Parenthood six times, and take away health care for thousands of Granite Staters who got covered under the Affordable Care Act."
You can add in her willing compliance with Mitch McConnell's blockade of Zika funding and efforts to block Planned Parenthood from helping fight the disease.
