For any psychologists, political scientists, etc, I’m wondering if anyone has run the following experiment:
1. Take single sentences or snippets from speeches from Trump, Clinton, and/or others.
2. Provide those sentences one at a time (unattributed) and ask them to rate the speaker based on things like intelligence, age, sex, persuasiveness, etc.
3. Find if there’s any correlation between political leanings/candidate support and which statements they rate highly or poorly.
Basically, I’m interested to see how people who think that Trump is a genius rate the batshit, insane things he says if they presented as coming from an anonymous person. Obviously, it would have to be double-blind and what not. Has anything like this been done yet?
