Astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson, while definitely opinionated, is a pretty easy going guy who generally relies on logic and reason to make his points. But on Sunday America’s favorite scientist went on a Twitter rampage against Donald Trump’s ill-conceived budget plan which cuts just about everything that actually helps human beings.
In a series of tweets DeGrasse Tyson uses Trump’s own campaign theme against him, declaring that the president’s screw-you budget will make America weak, sick, and stupid.
He concludes that the only way to make America great again is to make America smart again, something this president has no desire to broach.
The White House has so far declined to comment on DeGrasse Tyson’s tweet-storm, but we are all looking forward to Comrade Trump’s own Twitter response. Let’s see: Tyson is overrated because he lost so bad to Buster Douglas; who wants to pay attention to a guy who says Pluto isn’t the best cartoon dog ever; astrophysics is fake science; the guy’s just looking for attention to boost the pathetic ratings of his lame show on the failing NatGeo network; the guy’s a narcissist because he has three names. Please add your own.
