I recently launched The Political Bridge, a site aimed at bringing alienated Democrats back into the fold. I had the pleasure yesterday of interviewing Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa.
Hinojosa sees several reasons that the Democrats took a pounding in November: Not enough feet on the streets, not enough support for displaced workers, too much emphasis on social issues (at the expense of pocketbook issues) and generally bad messaging. He sees hope, though, in the direction the race for DNC chair is taking.
