Thursday night I saw the news that Trump had intentionally sabotaged the critical final week of the ACA's enrollment by killing $5 Million dollars in ads that the HHS had pre-paid ads.… This was somewhat of a final straw to me.
This virtually ensuring that up to 1 million people who would enroll in the final weak now will not have any notice or outreach and threatens to hurt a lot of people who would otherwise have gotten care. I was in the mood to #resist.
There was late news yesterday that after near universal protest and outcry that the Trump administration had partially relented on paid TV and radio, but I have seen no confirmation that the $5 million in digital paid ads have been restored.
So after a quick social post, some friends of mine and I created this quick action tool: http://www.shareaca.com
If Trump is going to pull the $5 million in promotions then it's up to us to be that promotion these final four days.
And the digital ads - all public domain and taxpayer created - all were still gettable if you knew where to look and dug hard enough. (And we crowdsourced the research on that)…
Our goal is that this is an online action tool allowing you to with one or two clicks share the most active, best performing ads that Trump pulled down.
So we propped up in 12 hours and if we can get momentum around it, maybe just phase one of this site.
Donald Trump is trying to silence the ACA. We can give it a voice.
Help us get the word out about this. Talk it up on your blog. Repost this to FB. Tweet about it by retweeting this.
Bigly. And Fast. We have THREE DAYS.
