During his sitdown, Spicer was grilled about the firing of former FBI director James Comey and his statements regarding the firing, as well as about Trump’s meetings with Russians officials including one with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the Oval Office, one person familiar with the meeting said.
This looks to go to both obstruction (being told to lie in order to impede the investigation might count as such) and also the whole election tampering thing.
Spicer, as we all know, is a willing liar, even an enthusiastic one, but not a particularly skillful one. Not when he knows the consequences of lying to Team Mueller are a little more consequential than lying to the press corps.
