It obviously makes a huge difference if there was a political agenda behind the actions. My first reaction was thinking a country and western venue might be heavily populated by republicans. My neighbor went to a Garth Brooks concert and it was more like a MAGA event than a music concert.
Had he done this to a rapper concert it would have indicated an agenda against a different group of people demographically. You are going to have a different percentage of republicans to democrats on those two extremes.
But so far the question remains was there a political side to this? Obviously the GOP would love to make this about a republican hating liberal, thereby validating the theory that the left has dangerous terrorists that are a threat to the Trump supporting right, thereby furthering an agenda that facilitates extreme retaliation during peaceful protests. The right already attributes the shooter that shot Scalise as a left wing terrorist.
The right will be all over this if the guy was a dangerously violent democrat, if it turns out it was a right wing nutcase there’s nothing there except a nutjob, woulda happened no matter what.
It will be interesting to see if there is a counter political spin used by the right to counter the gun control narratives.
