Time and time again, President Trump proves that his loyalty and trust lies with Russian President Vladimir Putin and not our Intelligence agencies. Amid the White House Asian tour, Trump proclaimed Putin assured him that Russia did not interfere with the American presidential election.
“Every time he sees me he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it,” Trump told the White House Pool while on Air Force One, per The Hill reporting.
Trump continued, “I can’t stand there and argue with him, I would rather have him get out of Syria,” and “You have President Putin very strongly, vehemently says he has nothing to do with that. Now, you are not going to get into an argument, you are going to start talking about Syria and the Ukraine.”
Trump’s love for Russia and Putin isn’t new. Thus, anything that stands in way of a great relationship will be bullied; as is the case with Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigating several associates in Trump’s campaign and administration circle. And boy is Trump mad about this investigation - so much so, it's turning him into a bitter old-little toddler man. Any tidbit that someone on Trump’s team may have violated campaign and /or federal law has thrust Trump into a nasty defensive mood for his pal, Putin — regardless if that pits him against American interest.
Besides, per Trump’s logic, the Russian investigation is, “…this Democratic-inspired thing.”
But it’s not just the Democrats initiating the investigation into Russia’s meddling in our election – Democrats don’t even hold any Congressional power – that privileges belong to Republican’s. Both the House and Senate formed their own committee to investigate if Russian hacked our election, and the FBI run by Robert Mueller is investigating members of the Trump campaign, including Donald Trump.
Did staff members seek to work with Russia to hack the DNC? Did staff members forget to report they worked on projects in Russian in which they were compensated? Did staff members work with the Kremlin to create fake news and social media accounts to tarnish the reputation of Hillary Clinton? Did Donald Trump personally engage with Putin and the Kremlin as a candidate to come up with mechanisms to carry the election in his favor?
We all know that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner met with a Russian lawyer who proclaimed she had dirt on Clinton. Video exists of Trump on the campaign trail wishing for WikiLeaks to hack Clinton’s emails and release the “33,000” alleged remaining emails. WikiLeaks is famously accused of having ties to the Kremlin. And now news is breaking that Donald Trumpm Jr. likely engaged in private Twitter message with Julian Assage of WikiLeaks to release dirt on Clinton, via hacking her emails.
But in Trump’s world, it’s all a lie, lie, lie. It’s Fake News, while also being a witch hunt.
Like, the fact that the FBI has issued a 12-count indictment against “former business partner,” Paul Manafort and former employee of the “pro-Trump group America First Policies,” Robert Gates. The Hill reports, “The charges are related to work done by Manafort and Gates on behalf of a pro-Kremlin political party in Ukraine,” and Mueller alleges “the tens of millions” made were laundered to hide payments from the United States, is one of the charges.
Former foreign policy excerpt from the Trump campaign, George Papadopoulos made a guilty plea deal with Mueller. But, again…for Trump, nothing to see here folks. Only pay attention to “Crooked Hillary,” who isn’t under investigation and isn’t the President of the United States.
“Does the Fake News Media remember when Crooked Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, was begging Russia to be our friend with the misspelled reset button? Obama tried also, but he had zero chemistry with Putin,” wrote Trump on his Twitter page on November 11.
In fact, Trump has pleaded with America that we become friends with Russia.
“When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. There always playing politics - bad for our country. I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!” Trump expressed on Twitter, right before lambasting “Crooked Hillary Clinton.”
For those confused about Trump’s recent “Crooked Hillary,” outburst, he’s likely still referring to the allegations Hillary Clinton sold uranium to Russia. It’s true that under the Obama Administration, Hillary Clinton then-Secretary-of-State team negotiated a deal with Uranium One. However, Clinton didn’t sign-off on the deal because her input wasn’t required – the nine-member Committee on Foreign Investments unanimously approved the deal. A deal most likely legal.
In Trump’s world though, Clinton, Obama, and leftists are the real criminals against democracy.
To count, Clinton and the Obama Administration likely didn’t engage in corruption with the Uranium One deal - and aren’t under investigation. However, Trump and some his of associates are under investigation for possibly violating a litany of laws and maybe with the help of Putin and the Kremlin. But that is to be ignored because Putin says “No” they didn’t dare to interfere in the election, even though Intelligence officials say “Yes.”
In Trump’s world, Putin has never violated our trust. So, maybe it’s pure condescendence that only the DNC and Hillary’s emails were hacked during the campaign. And maybe it’s just how things go that Putin cannot stand Clinton, so much so, that he decided he didn’t mind tolerating Trump. After all, Trump only wants to be friends with Putin so he can help with North Korea and Syria- because the Kremlin has been so pro-America – is true in some parallel universe.
Thus, anything that stands in the way of Trump’s trust for Putin is “fake news,”and a “witch hunt.” After all, Trump is “very loyal,” except when his back is against the wall by the American public. Almost instantaneously, Trump backtracked on his Putin conversation, saying he (i.e. Trump) wasn’t disagreeing with our Intelligence agencies when informing Putin said he didn’t meddle in our election and that he believed him. But Putin claims “election meddling” never came into the conversation.
Either way...for Trump: There's nothing to see here folks. Nothing at all. Just focus on the #MAGA, except when focusing on “Crooked Hillary.”
