(A poem by Dave Latka)
I can’t remember if I got out of bed
I can’t remember if I brushed the hair on my head
I can’t remember what I had to eat
I can’t remember if I put shoes on my feet
I can’t remember if I have a wife
I can’t remember if I have kids in my life
There are so many things that I can’t remember
Like are there any holidays in the month of December?
But if there is one thing I need to remember at all
It’s that when asked about Russians, I should say, “I can’t recall”
See, as attorney general of these United States
With queries of collusion one should not take the bait
When giving answers to congress about it all
I’ll defer to amnesia so I don’t take the fall
The next time they ask me more leading questions
I’ll just respond, “I can’t remember if I am Jeff Sessions”
