On November 2, 2017 a hero gave the entire world an eleven minute and forty-six second respite from groper in chief Donald Trump by shutting off his Twitter account. I still remember feeling the wind on my face during those serene eleven minutes. Well, on Thursday morning, another “accidental” hero was born, when someone made an oopsy-daisy and retweeted this from the U.S. Department of Defense’s official Twitter account.
According to the Department of Defense, this was an honest mistake.
“An authorized operator of the Department of Defense’s official Twitter site erroneously retweeted content that would not be endorsed by the Department of Defense,” Army Col. Robert Manning said in a statement to reporters. “The operator caught this error and immediately deleted it.”
Fine by me. Let’s call it a “happy accident.”
