THIS DIARY IS ABSOLUTE BALONEY. IN THE COMMENTS SECTION I WAS DIRECTED TO PREVIOUS WRITING BY CHRIS NETHERY AND HE IS A COMPLETE LOON. THANK YOU, DKOS PEOPLE, FOR HELPING ME SEE THAT I WAS TRICKED. I WILL NOT TRUST THE PEOPLE ON TWITTER WHO SUPPORT SUCH AN OBVIOUS PROPAGANDIST.
Since it was confirmed that Russia not only funded ads targeting the Left, but specifically funded unknowing Black Lives Matter activists, I have tried to keep an open mind about possible Russian operatives on the Left. I suspect that this diary will get me permanently banned, but I thought the points were important to bring up in case they are correct.
I am genuinely hoping that they are not. I am a gullible person, and I am hoping to be convinced that the website russiarevealed.info is a sophisticated GOP trick to cause division on the Left. The website is run by a guy named Chris Nethery who was recently banned on Twitter, and who has been receiving support from many on Twitter that I respect and follow both on the Right and Left.
I certainly do agree that the main point put forth on the website is correct, “Partisan politics is largely irrelevant. We are dealing with transnational organized crime. The mob running rackets on a global scale.”
In particular, these are the two articles written by Jay McKenzie on the website that I would like feedback about from other kossacks:
#AMDeza and the Left’s Controlled Opposition, by Jay McKenzie
and
Part 2 of #AMDeza and the Left’s Controlled Opposition, by Jay McKenzie
A comprehensive list of the people on the Left that these articles go after can be culled from the tags:
Al Gore, Andy Ansin, Charlie Lyons, Donna Hanover, Hank Sheinkopf, Jason Reid, Joy Ann Reid, Malcolm Nance, Naveed Jamali, Nicholas Baldick, Sarah Kendzior, Scott Israel, Stephanie Bromfield, Alexandra Chalupa, Andrea Chalupa, Omarosa Manigault, Peter G. Kelly, Soledad O'Brien, Tad Devine and Bernie Sanders
The one I find hardest to believe is Al Gore. An Inconvenient Truth changed my life. It opened my eyes to the dangers of global warming and I completely changed my lifestyle including buying a Prius. Even now I consider myself a mostly single-issue voter with the environment my top priority. And it doesn’t make sense that the Russian mafia, that has an overwhelming financial incentive to promote fossil fuels, would be successful in turning a man who has made it his life’s mission to go after the fossil fuels industry. Especially since he had his global warming epiphany after he supposedly was in the pocket of Russia.
But the sale of Current TV to Al Jazeera was weird, and with three women coming forward accusing Gore of sexual assault, I haven’t been as gung-ho about the man as I used to be. I’m trying to ignore my strong bias in favor of Gore and look at possible collusion objectively.
The article doesn’t implicate Bernie Sanders directly, but with Tad Devine working for Paul Manafort, who is now clearly a mafia thug, anyone connected with Manafort is suspect. At the very least Sanders had very poor judgment using Devine as a senior adviser. That’s a rough one for me too, as I was a very strong Sanders supporter, as can be seen from my comment history.
I expect the most controversial person on the list is Joy Ann Reid, who regularly makes the reclist here. As I’m a follower of Louise Mensch, I have been against her for a while—not because she attacked Mensch (which was kind of weird too), but because she downplayed TrumpRussia at the beginning. That raised a lot of red flags for me. I know she is a strong progressive voice and has been going after Trump, but that’s the way Russian active measures would work—to go along with what would be expected in that role, making the exception for specific issues of concern to the Russian mafia. I know she has jumped on the bandwagon and is now front and center with TrumpRussia, but at the beginning her show (including Nance, Kendzior and Jamali) downplayed things that have since proven to be true. And having Jamali on her show also looks bad—Jamali used to work with Mike Flynn. And Kendzior’s family has ties to Manafort. Even with this most recent thing with the Clinton uranium—sure Reid refuted all of that, but the point was that she was talking about Clinton and uranium (and making the reclist) at a time when all eyes should be on TrumpRussia. And she retweeted Robin Brenizer who absolutely is a Russian troll.
On the other hand, the last person on earth Putin would want given oxygen right now is Bill Browder, and she had him on her show. So I don’t know what to think. Also Erik Prince, who is a obviously a bad guy in this whole thing, was planning on helping UAE invade Qatar. So that seems to make Qatar on the side of the good guys. I don’t fully buy the Russia-Qatar being in cahoots. If they are not, the case against Al Gore evaporates.
I’m not putting in tags because I’m not sure how much of this I believe, but if this russiarevealed website is in itself some kind of elaborate Russian active measures, it would be good to know. This whole thing with the Podesta Group has got me paranoid now, I suppose. Because for sure there are more besides Tony Podesta.

I’m not going to delete this diary unless requested by dkos staff, but I want to categorically state that Chris Nethery is full of bullshit. Someone in the comments alerted me to some inflammatory tripe he had published previously about the Muslim Brotherhood which I have just read. I will put an edit at the top of the diary too.
