several thoughts:
first: I harbor no ill will towards Secretary Clinton. I voted happily for every Dem on my ballot last Nov (read no nose holding). In her shoes I would have had strings attached to bailing out the DNC too.
second: As a Bernie supporter in the Primaries I've been somewhat disappointed in things he did during and after the race. Should he have released his taxes? Absolutely. Is almost every bill he submits or co-sponsors a “show” bill? Yes. But those who say he should have conceded earlier; I say, he kept his word with his supporters. He said he would run till the convention and he did. To those who say it was unnecessarily divisive to do so, I say: he followed Clinton’s example in ‘08.
third: Consider this: before Bernie, I was registered as an Independent. I changed my registration specifically so I could vote for Bernie in the Primaries and now actively attend my county’s Democratic party meetings. I’m not the only former Independent voter who joined and is now active within the Democratic party as a result of Bernie. Some seem to think this is a bad thing. Too 'effin bad. We’re here and we ain’t going nowhere. Deal with it.
fourth: As pointed out by “Nuts & Bolts” author Chris Reeves pointed out in one of the early “Nuts & Bolts” diaries, too often new candidates are left to sink or swim on their own by the local, state, and national party. If we are really interested in “more and better” then this shineola must end. The screeching “the end is near!!!1!1!!!" fundraising emails need to be kicked to the curb as well.
fifth: How much of the ill will between the “Clinton wing” and the “Bernie wing” is a direct result of the Russian trolls? If I had to bet, I’d say 60 — 70% is a result of fake stories planted by the Russians.
lastly: I was as devastated by the results last Nov as anyone. But I’ve moved on, why haven’t you?
