Kellyanne Conway made a definitive statement last week concerning the White House position on Roy Moore. One that seems reasonable, and decent.
Conway: Whatever the facts end up being, the premises, of course, the principle, the incontrovertible principle, is that there is no Senate seat worth more than a child. And we all want to get that put forward. I have three daughters and a son, frankly, and we’re all watching this.
As is America. But … that was then. On a Monday visit to Donald Trump’s favorite Fox friends, Kellyanne Conway made it clear that her principles, as always, are fully controvertible.
Kilmede: So, vote Roy Moore?
Conway: I’m telling you that we want the votes in the Senate to get this tax bill through.
As it turns out, the value of a child is something less than a single vote on just one bill in the Senate. Much less than a whole Senate seat. Can we get a confirmation on that price?
Kilmede: The RNC has withdrawn its support for Roy Moore. Mitch McConnell has withdrawn support. So have the Young Republicans …
Conway: Right. And you know what? I just want everyone to know Doug Jones, nobody ever says his name and pretends he is some kind of conservative Democrat in Alabama. And he’s not.
No. He’s not.
Doug Jones is a lot more than just "not Roy Moore." He's prosecuted KKK terrorists. He's fought against racism and oppression. And he needs your support — chip in $3 today.
