Earlier this year, Trump was named as a witness in a lawsuit brought by Virginia Guffrie. Ms. Guffrie alleged she was lured into a sex-trafficking ring by Jeffrey Epstein, who had a criminal conviction for soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. Epstein had gotten off light, 40 women had accused him of sexually abusing or raping them as children. Leveraging a high-powered team of politically connected lawyers including Alan Dershowitz and Ken Starr to malign the teenage victims, Epstein walked away with a 13 month sentence.
Ms. Guffrie says the abuse started at Mar-a-Lago, and at least one other victim said the same thing:
Roberts was working for $9 an hour as a changing room assistant at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago beach club, where her father was a maintenance manager, when she claims she was recruited to work as a masseuse for Epstein. She claims the invitation came courtesy of Maxwell. It was 1998, and Roberts was 15 years old. — www.theguardian.com/...
Epstein was a personal friend of Trump’s and lived down the road in a Palm Beach mansion. Donald Trump knew Jeffrey preyed on underage girls, he said so himself.
Epstein, 64, was a regular for several years at Mar-a-Lago. Testimony in a prior court case indicated that Trump flew at least once on one of the planes Epstein owned and Trump’s phone numbers were in Epstein’s personal phone directory.
Trump has also indicated publicly he knew of Epstein’s interest in “younger” women, although he never suggested the financier crossed any legal lines. “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,’’ Trump told New York Magazine back in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.” — www.politico.com/...
Ms. Guffrie’s lawsuit was settled earlier this year, so Trump won’t be called as a witness in the case. But listen to Trump’s own words, “many of them are on the younger side”. It’s pretty clear he knew Epstein was raping children, and we also have Trump on record saying he’s “a lot of fun to be with” and a “terrific guy”.
None of this should come as a surprise, because there’s good indication that in the 1990s, Trump himself was directly involved in procuring young women and girls for “parties” that his friends and clients attended:
The morals of Donald J. Trump, as a longtime model lover and then a modeling agency owner, were forged in another era, one in which young girls were used as a sort of currency between men doing business with one another.
It’s not a time that Trump, who once blew up gossip reporters’ phones to dish on his own sexual exploits, real and imagined, is eager to remember now. But after I wrote for The Daily Beast earlier this year about the parties he hosted in the 1990s where “his wealthy friends, high-rollers from his Atlantic City casinos, and potential Trump condominium buyers could meet models” from second-tier agencies, several men who attended those parties at the Plaza Hotel emerged to share scandalous specifics about Trump’s presence and behavior at events where illegal drugs and young women were passed around and used. [...]
The girls were as young as 15, he says, and “over their heads, they had no idea, and they ended up in situations. There were always dramas because the men threw money and drugs at them to keep them enticed. It’s based on power and dominating girls who can’t push back and can be discarded. There’s always someone to pick them back up. Nobody wants to call home and say ‘Help me.’”

Given that record, we absolutely should not be surprised that the White House is asking people to vote for a child molester so Trump and his billionaire pals can have tax cuts. Trump himself has defended Moore:
When asked about the allegations that Moore pursued multiple teenage girls while he was in his 30s and an assistant district attorney in Alabama, Trump responded that Moore "totally denies it" and pointed out that the allegations are from roughly 40 years ago. — www.npr.org/...
If you catch Trump off guard, he’d probably laugh at Roy Moore’s provincial predation. Cruising a shopping mall for underage girls, that is so hokey. Trump likely considers his own strategy of buying modeling agencies and beauty contests so he could “date” models as far more refined. Are Trump and Epstein’s actions that far removed from the creep who stalks a bus-stop, waiting for an ingenue? The only real difference is that the creep doesn’t have politicians and lawyers in his pocket to make the charges go away though.
You can donate to Doug Jones’ campaign and help start the process of locking up the creeps. If you’re local, you can volunteer for the campaign, or with Indivisible Alabama.
