How does someone get interviews with all the top media outlets just out of the blue? Well, they don’t just show up and everyone wants their time. I am talking about Lee Busby. All of the sudden his name is everywhere.
Here’s the weird part. I live in Alabama. I have a landline. I get poll calls all the time. It has been over 10 days since the last poll. The last one I got wasn’t even about the Alabama senate race. It was polling for governor, Lt. governor, and attorney general of Alabama for 2018. So…. what changed? Then last night I get a poll call from JMC Analytics of Lousiana. Polling once again on the Alabama senate race. But one question asked if you would write in candidate Lee Busby, or Lashunda Scales, or vote for Doug Jones or Roy Moore. The write in names came at the beginning of the question, as choice one or two.
Lashunda Scales just got re-elected to the Birmingham City Council, so that was weird. Did they throw her name in to muddy the poll? As far as I can tell LaShunda is not planning on running a write in campaign for senate. But Lee Busby is launching a supposedly out of the blue write in campaign. He just got fed up, yada, yada. I would love to know who is putting up the money to pay for a poll to float his name the night before he all of the sudden out the blue starts getting interviews with Time, and Washington Post, and every other main stream outlet. Hmmm, sure seems convenient that there is a poll, then lots of publicity for a virtual nobody. Here is a short blip from Time
Another contender is jumping into Alabama Senate race, with just 15 days until voters head to the polls.
Lee Busby, a 60-year-old retired marine colonel from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is launching a write-in campaign as an independent candidate, he announced Monday in an interview with the Washington Post. The election will take place on December 12.
In an interview with TIME, Busby said he believes Alabama voters want a candidate who falls somewhere in the middle ideologically, and they don’t have that choice with the current options, Republican Roy Moore and Democrat Doug Jones.
If anybody out there knows how to find out who payed JMC Analytics to do a poll floating Lee Busby’s name as a write in, I sure would love to know who is the money backer for this horse. Seems a bit fishy to me. Actually it stinks to high heaven. Things down here in Alabama are getting curiouser and curiouser.
Last but not least I just wanted to share the fact that I along with a few helpers just sent out 500 postcards to Democratic voters in Alabama for Doug Jones. They can play their games, and spend their money, and throw in new players, or fakers like this Lee Busby fellow. I don’t care, it’s all in for Doug Jones.
Donate or help spread the word Doug Jones for the next Senator from Alabama
Send postcards to help elect your candidate, it's a great program
