President trump has retweeted messages from the (very) far right and racist group Britain First which spread totally false stories about Moslems in Britain.
Ann Coulter was his immediate source for these.
The BBC reports:
Donald Trump has retweeted three inflammatory videos from a British far-right group.
The first tweet from Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First, claims to show a Muslim migrant attacking a man on crutches.
This was followed by two more videos of people Ms Fransen claims to be Muslim.
The videos proport to show a mob pushing a boy off a roof to his death, a mob destroying a statue of the Virgin Mary and a ‘moslem migrant’ beating up a boy on crutches.
President Trumps tweets have been raised as an issue in the British Parliament.
Fransen herself tweets:
"Donald Trump himself has retweeted these videos and has around 44 million followers!"
"God bless you Trump! God bless America!"
It is increasingly difficult to see how Trump can get a harmonious reception if he visits Britain, on a state visit or otherwise.
