How often do you have an opportunity to save lives or keep people from financial ruin?
For half a million people in ME and VA, Tuesday’s election is not an off-year election. It is a matter of life, death or bankruptcy.
Those are two of the 19 states refusing to expand Medicaid. (See map above.) In Maine, depraved Governor LePage has stopped it, and in Virginia, the mean-spirited R controlled state legislature has stopped Democratic Governor McCauliffe from accepting it.
This is direct assault through spite. Rejection is forfeiting millions or billions in no strings attached federal funds. It is directly harming not only the people needing coverage but the economies and most other people in your state.
The lack of coverage of this by media has been nearly as depraved as the Republican’s refusal. How about devoting even 25% of the time you’ve been interviewing Trump WWC voters to interviewing people suffering from failure to expand Medicaid
Arguments about “rigging” or anything else can wait until Wednesday. My diaries below have links to contribute, phone bank or otherwise help not just create momentum for 2018, but also to directly save lives.
