I am not religious. I am a spiritual man. I believe in God and I believe in Karma. I do not ascribe to the idea that there is any book that can quantify or objectify what God is whether it’s the Bible, Koran, Book of Mormons or any other supposedly sacred text. Nevertheless, I have read the Bible from cover to cover twice.
James 2:14-26KingJames Version (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? (If I attend college and I say I believe I will earn my degree yet I don’t put in the study time (work), I skip classes and I don’t take notes, can my faith alone allow me to achieve my academic goal) …17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (The answer is more than likely no, faith provides motivation to realize our goals, but without works (committing myself to my studies) my faith is undercut. Faith is confirmed through actions.) 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only; (we are an extension of God and through our actions the almighty can work to fulfill its purpose)26; for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
During an interview with Sean Hannity in November, he asked Roy Moore if he had dated girls in their teens when Moore was in his thirties, Moore’s response was “not generally, no;” clearly there was no denial, only the assertion that it wasn’t habitual1. Moore claims that allegations about his predatory and inappropriate behavior towards underage girls is a liberal defamation conspiracy brought up during the upcoming election, but in his local town people were worried about his presence at the Gadsden Mall since the 80’s because of his behavior towards underage girls2. Now with only a day left before the election, he asserts that he has never dated anyone underage. But when he was interview by Sean Hannity, he said he would not dispute that he dated underage girls3. Being a Christian is not in title but in action. Roy Moore likes to talk about the laws of God. Gadsden is a Christian community by all accounts, among the 10 Commandments is that thou shalt not bear false witness. Is Roy Moore being honest about his own past indiscretions, and in his falsifications and contradictions, rather than repenting, he is tossing aside another Commandment, thou shalt not take the lord’s name in vain to win the senate seat, to clear his image, to garner your votes he feigns respect for the laws of God, but what do his actions say? The people in Roy Moore’s district will decide on December 12th. The world will know and be watching; we will see what Moore’s faith is worth by your votes, Alabaman’s actions/work.
