In a new poll by the University of Maryland’s Program for Public Consultation, 83% of Americans oppose the new Trump supported FCC proposal to change net-neutrality rules. That includes three-quarters of Republicans, 89% of Democrats and 86% of Independents.
Respondents were given an introduction to the issue and then presented two arguments, one in favor of the proposed FCC changes and one against, arguing in favor of net neutrality. Not surprisingly, though a majority of Republicans found the arguments for the change convincing, large majorities of all partisans found the arguments against the rule change much more convincing.
Here’s the press release for the poll. It includes links to the questionnaire.
