One of the many hiking trails crisscrossing the park
I think this is a Red-Headed Woodpecker
Green Anole lizard
A very colorful orb spider on her web
Spanish Moss. Despite the name, it’s related to the Pineapple.
Turkey Vulture passes by
Longleaf Pine seedling. The Park is slowly replacing Slash Pine with native Longleaf Pine.
A butterfly “puddling”
A charred stump. Because this habitat is fire-adapted, the park does an intentional controlled burn every so often.
