Thoughts on our missing friend.
BfitzinAR has been exiled from DKos for a mere two weeks almost two months and the loss on the Community has been profound. Yes, we want her back. The Village wants her back. The Pootie Peeps want her back. Street Prophets want her back. So many of us want her back. However, this is not a diary to rehash her banning or to excoriate any admins or this site for doing so. I believe that we are all folks of good will and that everyone is trying to do what is right — even if we don’t all agree on what that is. So I trust that right will eventually prevail.
Today we simply celebrate BfitzinAR, her gentle spirit, and her gifts to us.
On this Thanksgiving Christmas weekend, let us be thankful for the precious time that we have already had with this most beloved and loving, respected and respectful, insightful, generous, kind, humble, and true DKos friend. Plus she had a sense of humor. And loved animals (especially pooties, but all animals). She loved all of man-and-womankind, too.
For me, Bfitz epitomizes so many of the values expressed in my favorite Quaker thoughts, ideas, and quotes. She embodies the Friends’ pillars of Simplicity, Justice, Peace, Integrity, Equality, and Stewardship. Quietly helping others, making her life an example to follow, sending thoughts of healing and love to any trouble soul. Much of her efforts and focus here on DKOS was bringing real needs and struggles faced by members of our community to the attention of us all so that we, too, could lend support, send {{{moar hugs}}}, and provide a financial hand if we had the means.
She is truly a gentle and courageous woman, ” … troubling the world by preaching peace to it."
Please, DKOS, Bring BfitzinAR back from Exile.
And because we simply cannot forget the pooties, woozles, birdzees, and other critters (because Bfitz certainly would remember to send them scritches and noms).
Have a loving, peaceful, and safe Thanksgiving holiday everyone — whatever Solstice season holiday you and yours celebrate.

Thanks everyone for the great response, which is really a tribute to the person this diary honors rather than to the author. I apologize for the confusion about Thanksgiving references. When I rescheduled for Christmastime, I thought I had lots of time to make the small edits required. And then I forgot to go back and do it. But the sentiments are timeless. Happy holidays to everyone, and continue to be kind to one another. : )
