No act of kindness is too small.
As the Southern California fires are destroying homes and evacuations are being ordered, people are literally fleeing to safer locations.
My mother lives in the Skirball area, where the fire has closed down the 405 freeway. The beautiful Getty Museum, where i last saw Van Gogh’s ‘Irises’, and the Skirball Jewish Cultural Center are in the area.
But, even with human lives, homes, museums on the line...every life is precious.
This video was taken in Ventura by a passing motorist when he saw a driver pull over and jump out of his car, as the fire was literally burning on both sides of the road. The man had seen an animal on fire and another running frantically.
He was going to save that creature.
It mattered.
In many years in the future, when this man finally passes…he’ll meet God.
Who’ll say to him, “You know...i met you once.
I came down as a rabbit.”
“You done good.”
