You literally cannot make up the madness of Roy Moore, and the mad party that has re-endorsed him. The very, very serious sexual assault and statutory rape allegations against Moore have led many to forget just how mad this man is.
Here are some comments from a Roy Moore rally back in September:
At Moore’s Florence rally, the former judge outlined all the wrongs he sees in Washington and “spiritual wickedness in high places.” He warned of “the awful calamity of abortion and sodomy and perverse behavior and murders and shootings and road rage” as “a punishment inflicted upon us for our presumptuous sins.”
In response to a question from one of the only African Americans in the audience — who asked when Moore thought America was last “great” -- Moore acknowledged the nation’s history of racial divisions, but said: “I think it was great at the time when families were united -- even though we had slavery -- they cared for one another…. Our families were strong, our country had a direction.”
At the same event, Moore referred to Native Americans and Asian Americans as “reds and yellows,” and earlier this year he suggested the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks were divine punishment. — www.latimes.com/...
Let’s ignore for a moment, the casual racism and bigotry evident in the terms he is using.
Does Roy Moore know anything about American history?
Does he know how black american families were torn apart by slave-owners?
Does he believe selling women, men and children was uniting families?
He is simply unqualified to be in the Senate.
Let’s hope Alabamians can see through this vile person who:
Journalists should be asking the RNC’s corporate donors why they’re helping elect a person who thinks “slavery” is compatible with “families that united”.
But don’t just get mad.
Vote, volunteer and contribute to Doug Jones’ campaign.
I just gave $27 again and will be texting this weekend and leading into election day for Doug. Turn Alabama blue.
