The Independent has published an interesting compilation of occurrences that may pique readers’ curiosity as it did mine. Especially if you believe, as I do, that an unexpected incident happening once --even twice — may be unremarkable but after that, repeating unexpected incidents invite scrutiny.
You may remember just a couple weeks ago, the Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, “died suddenly” at 64, suffering cardiac arrest at the Russian Mission one day before his 65th birthday. After an autopsy, medical examiners feel his death requires further study. Toxiciology reports are awaited.
You may even remember the highly dramatic assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, by a Turkish police officer who shouted, as he discharged his handgun into the ambassador’s back, “Don’t forget Aleppo!” “Don’t forget Syria!”
But I didn’t know that other diplomats have departed this life all since November. They are:
11/8/16 (1) American Election Day
Sergei Krivov, 63, was found lying unconscious on the floor of the Russian Consulate in New York with a head injury. Initially he died as a result of falling off the roof of the Russian Consulate in NYC. That was retracted in favor of a heart attack. [That somehow resulted in quite a head wound.] At first his death seemed by ‘natural causes.’ Now medical examiners say they’re unsure. Interestingly, no one is sure what his job was at the consulate, although it is believed he may have been in charge of counter-surveillance, as in making sure the Americans weren’t bugging the place.
12/19/16 (2)
Petr Polshikov, 56. Found shot in the head in his apartment the same day as the Turkish ambassador. Still being investigated.
12/26/16 (1)
Oleg Erovinkin. Found dead in the backseat of his car. No other details. . .maybe because he’s ex-KGB? There is this, Erovinkin was one of former MI-6 agent, Steele’s, sources in his Trump Dossier. And this — he was also aide to former PM, Igor Sechin, currently CEO of Rosneft, the state-owned oil company and pal of Trump cabal member, Carter Page who allegedly was offered a 19% private stake in Rosneft by Sechin if he could get Trump to lift the economic sanctions on Russia.
1/9/17 (1)
Consul in Athens, Andrei Malanin, 55, dead on his bathroom floor and no signs of a break-in to his heavily guarded residential compound. Death still being investigated.
1/27/17 (1)
Russia's Ambassador to India, Alexander Kadakin, 67, who suffered a brief illness before dying of heart failure, according to Reuters.
It’s hard to find a biological reason for all these unexpected collapses, except in the case of the two victims of GSWs. I’m not aware of statistics regarding life expectancy among Russian diplomatic corps, nor statistics regarding heart trouble among them. The only concrete facts are that the deaths were unexpected, clustered, and remain clouded in mystery.
Four of the six dead Russian diplomats are named in Steele’s Trump Dossier. No wonder the House Intel Comm wants the British ex-spy’s testimony.
One immediately feels nervous concern for Ambassador to USA, Sergey Kisylak.
