Thank all of you for your kind and very generous support given my Go Fund Me diary posted yesterday (and thank you, especially, Street Prophets). Some of you know me by my weekly DKos Road Tour Series published on Sundays. Now it’s another effort that I’m passing along and hoping to keep my feline angel, Millie, on this side of the grass for as long as possible.
On 4/13/2017, I launched a Go Fund Me emergency campaign for Millie (under the advisement of my veterinarian, no less). According to the GFM well-trusted website, the process begins with networking to my circle of friends, and they, in turn, network to their circle of friends, and so on. She’ll need about $2,000.00 (minus the medicine), and I still well under half that goal. That said, any amount you donate will certainly help reach that goal. Millie is a mere 7 pounds but seems to hold her own. For now, that is. The upcoming tests will confirm one way or the other what her chances are and the veterinarian still thinks she has a good chance to make it through this crisis based on abnormally high thyroid levels that also affects her liver. If you have any questions, please pass them along to me (via my website www.richholtzin.com). This time it’s not about my books and buying same. . .it’s about the center of my life and I’d love to keep the aptly named Millie the Kid with me for as long as possible. My write-up and updates posted on the GFM relate all the medical details of her threatening condition. Networking can and does work so thank all of you have made a contribution and thank all of you who are still thinking about it.
