So on my way out I saw a clip of this CBS interview:
“If being complicit is wanting to, is wanting to be a force for good and to make a positive impact then I’m complicit. I don’t know that the critics who may say that of me, if they found themselves in this very unique and unprecedented situation that I am now in, would do any differently than I am doing,” Trump said. “So I hope to make a positive impact. I don’t know what it means to be complicit, but you know, I hope time will prove that I have done a good job and much more importantly that my father’s administration is the success that I know it will be.”
Um, so the definition of “complicit” never came up in any of your schooling or SAT prep. And you thought SNL made up the word when they did the perfume ad skit?
Words mean things, you don’t get to just make all of them mean you are force for good. What is next. New definitions for corruption and treason. Can’t wait to see how you make those into “good things”.

And yep, I know people who do good in a lot of very bad places that end up paying the price of long sleepless nights about looking away and not speaking up.
FWIW, I think people use complicit because they think you see the same bad things going on in the administration but pretend you don’t and willing be a pretty, poised, sane face to cover over what you know the evil, corrupt men are doing behind closed doors.
Maybe you don’t know. Maybe even though we see you in all kinds of public meetings with important people you are shut out completely from all the back rooms. Maybe you really are that vapid, and all the appearing to be intelligent and thoughtful is an act someone taught you.
But it doesn’t seem that way. It seems you know what is going on and choose to be part of covering it up and making all the ugly things going on look nice, clean and pretty. Sure maybe they will let you do something you think is good as part of the package, but what good are you going to do that makes up for all the evil? How many orphans will get medicine, how many meals will famine victims get, how many people will get out of war-torn situations?
