The internet is free and opens the door to innovation for everyone -- from the student activist building the resistance to the small business owner building their company. That’s what has made it so successful.
This fact is so fundamental to how we use the internet, it’s almost impossible to think of it being any other way. But under Chairman Ajit Pai’s proposal, which the FCC is taking up today, that could end. His proposal would eliminate the free and open internet as we know it.
We are facing big corporate interests with deep pockets, but we’ve proven if we fight back we can win.
Last time net neutrality was before the FCC, over 3.7 million comments were submitted -- and because of this public pressure, we won. Now the internet and net neutrality are under attack again.
We must fight back.
I’m collecting official comments to the FCC here to help save net neutrality. Please add your name and comment now and help us save net neutrality.
My question for Chairman Pai is this: “What problem are you solving, and on whose behalf are you working?” There is literally no constituency who would benefit under this proposal except big internet providers.
We’ve seen open letters from startups, innovators, and investors. Support from tech companies across the board. Even a segment on John Oliver’s show! This is not a situation where the community on the internet is divided. This is about everybody who uses the internet versus those who control access to it.
This is a fight we have to win, but we can only do that with a tremendous number of comments and grassroots energy. Will you submit an official comment to the FCC now so we can save net neutrality and show the people are fighting back?
We’ve proven we can win big fights like these when we do everything we can. Let’s show the world how important this is.
