After the phase-out of Medicaid Expansion kicks in under Trumpcare, 15 states will be forced to pay near 400% more to cover it’s citizens under Medicaid.
This analysis was completed by Louisiana’s Republican Senator Bill Cassidy.
The rest of the states listed in the analysis are at near 200% and more.
This analysis confirms that Trumpcare, Republicans and Trump would effectively be creating real ‘Death Panels’, with states choosing who lives and who dies. It would be impossible for states to cover the difference of these massive Medicaid increases.

Under the AHCA, the federal government would continue to pay 90 percent of costs for newly-eligible people who sign up for Medicaid before 2020. But after that, Medicaid would be subsidized by each state at variable rates, leading to significant cost increases
Analyzing data from the Government Accountability Office, Senator Cassidy's staff predicted that 15 states would see rate hikes at or near 400 percent, including California, New Jersey and New York, and that all the states would see increases of at least close to 200 percent.

The House health care bill would require many states that expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act to pay much more for their newly eligible enrollees beginning in 2020. Here's what it would look like, based on projections from Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy's office:
Bill Cassidy knows exactly the group of voters who will be greatly affected by killing Medicaid expansion.

“The more folks understand that the Trump voter is the one who’s benefiting from this, and the Trump voter will be the one who disproportionately is harmed if we do it poorly,” Cassidy said, “hopefully they’ll understand that it’s incumbent upon us to fulfill Trump’s campaign pledge.”
Cassidy is right, Trump voters will be hit hard under Trumpcare and he knows it or he wouldn't have released this devastating expanded Medicaid analysis.
Those promises that Donald Trump made and that Cassidy mentioned.
No Medicaid cuts promise. Trumpcare cuts over $800 billion from Medicaid.
Universal Health Care promise.
"This is an un-Republican thing for me to say. Everybody's got to be covered"

I really believe there are some Republican Senators, particularly in states that have expanded Medicaid with great success, that are very nervous. This analysis should give them pause. If they choose to ignore it and they go forward, they may face an uprising from voters like they’ve never seen before.
