Good morning! Welcome to the DKos Sangha weekly open thread.
This is an open thread for members of the DKos Sangha and interested visitors who happen by. Each of us has our own path; we come here by way of many different traditions, and of no particular tradition. While the language we use may differ depending on the traditions, teachers, practices, and teachings that have shaped our journeys, we find in common, generally, a search for who we truly are, our true nature, and to bring the peace and compassion born of that search into the greater world of which we are a part. If you wish to share, or if you seek support, or if you simply want to say hello, please do; this space is for you.
The journey, ever deeper into the truth of who we are, is transformational and extraordinary; and yet, day to day life remains ordinary. Nothing special.
It is helpful to honor the mystery, the unknowable nature of the journey, to bow in reverence, to allow space for awe and wonder, to let go of why, and just experience the unfolding; to meet fully what grace has shown.
A sudden breeze moves through the trees near the window; and the taste of coffee has its story to tell. Movement within the stillness. Like the breeze, the sip of coffee comes, lingers, and then is gone. The impermanence of appearance within the stillness of being.
Each step along the journey is a gift, a teaching without language; we are shown that which needs healing, and the medicine is freely offered.
The journey lasts a lifetime, and yet, we are always already here. The paradox is a key; with its turning, another door opens and falls away.
We move ever deeper into the truth of who we are, ever deeper into the stillness of being, ever deeper into just this.
Another breeze arises, touching for a few moments the leaves on the branches that fill the space of the window. And the taste of coffee once again tells its own story.
