I want social and economic justice for all Americans

It’s not an either or fight. We can have both. In fact, we can’t really have either one without the other. I really believe most of us are on the same page. We want justice, in all its social and economic glory. There may be a small minority of Democrats who think our current economic system is perfectly fair, and there may be a small minority of Democrats who are closet racists or sexist, but for the vast majority of us, we fight for economic and social justice.

Let’s not let ourselves be divided when almost all of us want the same things. Rather than trying to rehash what went wrong or pin the blame, let’s fall back on our bedrock principles, principles we all share. Let’s stop trying to fight some imagined “other side,” and proudly declare:

I want social and economic justice for all Americans!
