There’s something poetic about comparing the search involved in a childhood prank to a search involving what another perceptive Daily Kos blogger termed the toddler-in-chief. Though the former was indeed far more innocent, far less a danger to our everyday lives.
In the classic snipe hunt a “victim” was sent after a quarry that was impossible to find because it didn’t exist. In the Trump-centric version, you see if you can locate certain characteristics anywhere in “real” Trump’s personal constitution.
Success in either search would be quite the miracle. Here’s the “quarry” . . .
* Any knowledge of the real Constitution
* Sensitivity to the plight of Americans
* Sensitivity to the plight of those elsewhere in the world
* Intelligence
* Awareness of current events
* Awareness of past events
* Compassion
* Sense of humor
* Truth-telling genes
* Forgiveness
* Measured responses to criticism
* Ability to formulate policy
* Ability to formulate short term plans for the country
* Ability to formulate long term plans for the country
* Understanding the role of his office
* Understanding the respective roles of the other branches
* Understanding the requirements for the roles of his high level appointees
* Capability of thinking beyond his personal interests
* Comprehension of foreign affairs
* Wit {half doesn’t count}
If you should discover any even hint of the above, alert the media. Meanwhile, feel free to add to the list.
