See yall on the streets this weekend.
As of a few days ago, there were some 20,000 absentee ballots not yet returned per Nate Cohn of the NYT, who said it's a "Big challenge/opportunity for Dems: the 20k unreturned mail ballots: very Dem, young, diverse, and nearly half didn't vt rnd 1".
And Michael McDonald of the US Elections Project responded, "This is a reoccurring theme from past outstanding mail ballot stats. Dems leave balllots on the table (literally)".
When canvassing (and probably when phonebanking) these folks with outstanding absentee ballots are indicated on our contact lists. Straightforward outreach helps.
And we have early voting ongoing. I've met dozens of voters here who needed our fliers with the polling places and times. The only day of Saturday voting is tomorrow. So it's a big day.
Let's do this.
