If you are looking for further confirmation that Trump’s “Election Integrity Commission” is nothing more than a big political stunt, look no further. It turns out that Kansas Secretary of State Kris K. Kobach, who serves as the Vice Chair of the commission, and who signed the letter requesting states turn over confidential voter information to the federal government, is refusing to comply with his own request in his role as Secretary of State.
Multiple states plan to buck Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach’s request for personal information on voters on behalf of a presidential commission.
Kobach said Friday that Kansas, at least for now, also won’t be sharing Social Security information with the commission, on which he serves as vice chairman[...]
Trump expressed his frustration on Twitter Saturday about states’ resistance to providing the information.
“Numerous states are refusing to give information to the very distinguished VOTER FRAUD PANEL. What are they trying to hide?” the president said.
What are you trying to hide from your own very distinguished VOTER FRAUD PANEL, Kris?
Incidentally, the last person you would probably want to trust with safeguarding your personal information would be Kobach. In the photo above, he was carrying a secret plan to run DHS when he was interviewing for that job. A good picture by a journalists revealed key elements of that plan to the press. He didn’t get the job, and apparently now doesn’t even trust himself with his own state’s voters’ personal information.
