Is CNN trying to help defuse the outrage over the Russia controversy in a sneaky manner? Of course, not. But the way they are covering this controversy, it’s like they are feeding into the FOX NEWS caricature and propaganda of how the world is out to get Trump. I was watching CNN to see if they would cover something interesting considering the Australian woman who died and there seems to be very little news coming out of MN on what actually happened. Maybe try to show us what cops are commenting on in their niche forums and if they learned a damn thing from the Castile murder and how they continue to overreact. What about the death of George Romero who was not only a legend in zombie filmmaking, his movies early on made social statements and touched a nerve with fans.
All I see is some other so called expert weighing on the same Russian news crap. The Cuomo interview with Kellyanne — I get that. It illustrates perfectly what a bunch of liars the Trump people are. Do you really need to cover this one item of news to death though and risk having people tune out this controversy? It’s like CNN gets a hold of one topic and they will just beat it to death over and over. And why do they subject us to the same inane experts over and over? Borrow some pointers from VICE NEWS and how they rotate topics and keep it interesting. THis is a long journey to exposing Trump and his minions and the Russia angle is just one of many of his problems.
How about at least mixing up the news in primetime? Instead of having a rare segment on the EPA, mix those news segments in more on how Scott Pruitt is destroying the EPA in a way even casual viewers in some of those mining states can understand? Why not borrow from VICE NEWS (Or even what CBS NEWS does in their morning shows occasionally) and show slickly produced news segments of different real life going ons in america affected by the attack on environmentalism which is not just mere global warming related semantics.
There is a lot of interesting news out there. Cover it CNN, instead of resorting to boring coverage of Russia. Keep up the Russia coverage, but limit it to the main points. Talk about what statutes are actually broken, if any. If none are broken, explain clearly why Trumps boosters are saying wrong on FOXNEWS and counter that narrative and then move on. But that’s all you need. End the endless blabber because all you do is help Trump out by making this controversy people will get bored of eventually.
