I am writing this in response to the NAACP warning to Black people to beware if traveling in MO. If you go to a post I wrote, www.dailykos.com/…, you will find the story of how I, as a 67 year old white man, was pulled out of a church, in broad daylight, by two state troopers from a rural church meeting in NW Missouri. My crime, I was with a Black lady in an all white congregation. What I didn’t tell in that story was about when I was pulled over in Cameron, MO for some minor tail light problem. After checking out my license and returning to warn me and tell I was free to go, they all of a sudden saw I had a Black lady in my passenger seat. It became important for them to run a check on her background. She happened to be a long time attorney known around the city of Kansas City, MO. When they couldn’t find anything, they returned her license and we were allowed to go. So, no matter your race, be careful if you are with a Black person in NW MO. Read the comments on the above article to find out that Black people don’t have to be warned by the NAACP. This has been going on for years.
