Reacting to the recent unsettling ICBM launch, President Trump seized this week’s G20 Summit as an opportunity to literally personify his pledge last year as to how he’d handle a meeting with North Korean President Kim Jong-un. As quoted in Politico (6/15/2016):
"If he came here, I'daccept him, but I wouldn't give him a state dinner like we do for China and all these other people that rip us off when we give them these big state dinners. We give them state dinners like you've never seen. We shouldn't have costly state dinners at all. We should be eating a hamburger on a conference table.”
